Christopher A. Marek, MD is a board-certified plastic surgeon in private practice in Danville, Kentucky with specialized interest in reconstructive plastic surgery, cosmetic surgery, pediatric plastic surgery, and the treatment of skin cancer.

Dr. Marek is a native of Virginia. He graduated with honors from The College of William and Mary in Williamsburg, Virginia where he majored in biology. Dr. Marek received his medical degree in 1998 from the University of Virginia School of Medicine in Charlottesville, Virginia. While receiving his medical degree, Dr. Marek was awarded the Larry S. Nichter Award for Plastic Surgery Research for his work with tissue adhesives.

Dr. Marek completed a six year integrated residency in Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery at the University of Kentucky Medical Center in Lexington, Kentucky. He was accepted into one of the few integrated plastic surgery residencies in the country, and received training in general surgery as well as plastic surgery. He is a member of the Boyle County Medical Society, Kentucky Society of Plastic Surgeons, and the Southeastern Society of Plastic and Reconstructive Surgeons. He has published articles in peer reviewed journals and presented his research work at national surgical meetings.

Dr. Marek is affiliated with Ephraim McDowell Regional Medical Center, James B Haggin Memorial Hospital, St. Joseph Hospital and Health South Surgery Center. Medical Missions, to serve the uninsured or underpriviledged, are an important part of his life and practice. He resides in Lexington with his wife, Nykhole and their son. In addition to his Plastic Surgery Practice, he is an accomplished sculptor/artist and musician.
